St John Fisher School is a warm, welcoming school with a family atmosphere. We have a forward looking Catholic ethos and have many links with the local Catholic community.
Jim Knight MP, Minster of State for Education has written to the school commending us on being one of the most improved school in the country over the last three years.
In tables produced by the Guardian newspaper our school was placed ninth equal out of 3000 schools for improvement in 5+A* - C GCSE including Mathematics and English.
For the past two years we have been the top performing state school in our Local Authority.
